As you know, I was reluctant to see my wife alter the ring I gave her early in our relationship. Perhaps the ring was more sentimental to me than to her, but more likely she just knew that she would never again enjoy it in the way she did when we were younger. Ultimately, of course, she won out and we're so pleased with the results. The piece has been transformed into something beautiful and current, a complete renaissance.
